Discover the Building Blocks of
Writing Excellence

Year 5 - Writing Class
Our Writing Class helps Year 5 students build confidence and improve their skills ahead of the second stage of the 11+ (SET) exams.
Each weekly session includes:
-
A short comprehension task
-
A writing task (descriptive, narrative, or persuasive — across formats such as blogs, letters, and articles)
-
A timed response under exam-style conditions
-
Personalised teacher feedback the following week
-
No homework
This class is a completely optional add-on for students who would benefit from a little extra focus on writing, beyond the support already provided in our regular English classes. It is particularly suited to those who feel they need more practice with planning, structure, sentence control, and writing to time.
